JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Softball plays the first two of 10 games over the next six days with a trip Emporia, Kansas to take on Southeastern Oklahoma State. The team will return home to host Northwest Missouri State in a doubleheader on Tuesday before hosting the Apple Market Classic over the weekend.
THE GRIFFONSMissouri Western got back over .500 with a doubleheader sweep of Southwest Baptist in the team's home opener, Saturday. Missouri Western got solid pitching performances in both games and exploded for 10 runs in the second game.

Katie Klosterman leads a group of four Griffons batting .350 or better. Klosterman's .370 leads the team.
Tiffany Gillaspy is second with a .355 average and is tied for the team lead with 22 hits, three doubles and five home runs.

The Savage Storm will play four games in Emporia beginning with the doubleheader against MWSU on Monday and another twin bill with Emporia State on Tuesday.
As a team, Southeastern Oklahoma is batting .341 with three players over the .400 mark and one at .391. Jessica Simmons' .418 leads the team along with her 24 runs scored. Courtney Riddle is batting .412 and leads the team with 28 hits, 20 RBIs and three home runs. Ariana Jones enters with a .410 average and 25 hits.
