The Griffs were off last week and hold steady at 31-15 overall and 14-8 in the MIAA and return home for the final games of the regular season this weekend as they host Northeastern State on Friday at 4 PM and defending National Champion Central Oklahoma at 12 PM on Saturday. Admission is FREE! Following the games on Saturday, we'll recognize the six Griffon players who will be playing their last home games.
Friday's games vs. Northeastern State will be broadcast live on the Griffon Sports Network, ESPN 1550 AM.

Series with NSU since 2002: 11-1 MWSU - Home: 0-0 - Road: 5-1 MWSU - Neutral: 6-0 MWSU - MIAA Tournament: 1-0 MWSU• The Griffons and the RiverHawks have met 12 times since 2001 with the Griffons winning 11 of those contests. This will mark the first meeting in St. Joseph for the two team.s The Griffons have won three of the last four meeting including last year in the MIAA Tournament when the Griffons won 7-4.
• After opening the season 19-7 the RiverHawks have struggled winning just six of the last 24 games dropping them to 25-25 overall. At one point this season the RiverHawks had won 16 of 17 games but currently they have lost 13 of their last 14 games including six of seven MIAA contests. They are coming off a doubleheader loss against Arkansas Tech on April 22 by scores of 13-2 and 9-6.
• On the season they are hitting .269 as a team with three players hitting over .300. Alyssa Aguilar leads the way with a .350 batting average. She leads the team in hits (50), RBI (40) and total baseas (76). Madison Reed is hitting .313 with a team high 39 runs scored. She also has stolen 20-of-22 bases this season. Allyson Pogue is hitting .303 with 40 hits and 10 doubles. Saharra Henson leads the team with eight home runs while Megan Robison has 12 doubles.
• In the circle they hold a 4.23 ERA with Kayce Wooldridge leading the charge with a 2.97 ERA and a 13-9 overall record...Shelbie Wagnon is 3-5 with a 3.17 ERA while Laura Fleck is 4-3 with a 5.33 ERA.

Series with UCO since 2002: 7-2 UCO - Home: 0-0 - Road: 6-2 UCO - Neutral: 1-0 UCO• The Griffons and the Bronchos have met 9 times since 2010 with the Bronchos holding a 7-2 advantage in the series. The Griffons lost two one run games last season in Edmond and have lost three straight. The Griffons last win came on April 22, 2012 by a score of 3-2 in Edmond.
• The Bronchos are currenlty 36-12 overall and 19-3 in MIAA on the season but have lost three of the last six games. The defending league and national champion Bronchos enter the weekend fifth in the all-important Central Region rankings, which determines the eight teams that will advance to the NCAA Division II national tournament.
• The Bronchos have also clinched a berth in the eight-team MIAA Post-season Tournament, which will be held May 1-4 in Overland Park, Kan. UCO tops the conference in both team batting (.345 average) and team pitching (1.60 earned run average).
• The Bonchos are 9-4 on the season on the road with three of those losses coming in the last two weeks of the season.
• Kaylee Brunson is hitting a team-high .393 and leads the league in hits (68) and stolen bases (school-record 36). Ally Dziadula is batting .382 with 11 doubles, six triples six home runs and 46 runs batted in, while Emily Ditmore has a .379 average with 11 doubles, six homers and 43 RBI.
• Kalynn Schrock paces the pitching staff with a 21-6 record and 1.11 ERA, having struck out 211 batters in 170 innings. Nicole Brady is 9-2 with a 1.89 ERA in 20 games with 11 starts...she has 36 strikeouts in 77.2 innings while Amanda McClelland has a 2.60 ERA in 12 games with a 6-4 record. She has 31 strikeouts in 59.1 innings.
ABOUT THE GRIFFONS...The Griffons are 31-15 overall and 14-8 in MIAA play after going 3-1 two weekends in MIAA road action. The Griffons have played very well as of late winning 16 of their last 19 games which includes 11 of their last 12.
The Griffons are hitting .301 as a team with 59 doubles and 42 home runs on the season. The Griffons five three players hitting over .300 on the season with
Tiffany Gillaspy leading the charge with a .389 average. She has 58 hits, 34 runs scored, 11 home runs, 44 RBI and 102 total bases.
Bre Fleschner is hitting .360 with 36 runs scored, 11 doubles and 50 hits.
Sydney Washington has come on strong getting her average up to .333. She has 37 hits with 27 runs scored, six home runs and 25 RBI. She also leads the team with 15 stolen bases.
Morgan Rathmann is hitting .327 with 36 hits, 2 doubles, 1 triple and 4 home runs.
Griffon pitchers have a 1.97 ERA as a group.
Jackie Bishop has thrown three no hitters this season which included her first perfect game in a 10-0 victory against St. Cloud State. Bishop has 20-7 record with a 0.97 ERA. She has ten shutouts on the season with 212 strikeouts in 187.0 innings.
Janie Smith is 11-8 with a 3.53 ERA. She has two shutouts and 14 complete games. She has thrown 123.0 innings for the Griffons.
Taylor Schaben seen her first action of her career. She has thrown three innings giving up one hits with one strikeout.
