EDMOND, Okla. - The Missouri Western tennis team fell 8-1 in MIAA play on the road against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos. The Griffons only victory came at No. 3 doubles when they won 8-2. The Griffons fall to 0-8 overall and 0-4 in MIAA play.
The Griffons played close matches at No. 3 singles through No. 6 singles.
Denise Chiao fell 6-3, 6-2 against Kristin Richardson at No. 3 singles while
Ceara Boldridge fell 6-2 and 7-5 against Emilie Semo at No. 4 singles. At No. 5 singles
Lindsay Beger fell 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 against Anna Braun and
Alyssa Dougan fell 7-6 (7-0), 2-6 and 11-9 against Lauren Allison at No. 6 singles.
The Griffons played ok in doubles action falling 8-3 at No. 1 doubles and 8-1 at No. 2 doubles. Dyart and Dougan beat Semo and Allison at No. 3 doubles.
The Griffons return to action on Saturday, March 23 with an MIAA match against Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla.
