Griffon Tennis Falls 6-3 in Non-Conference Play Against East Central

Tweet #gogriffsADA, Okla. - The Missouri Western women's tennis team fell 6-3 in non-conference action against the East Central Tigers on Friday afternoon. The Griffons fall to 0-7 overall while the Tigers improve 2-9.

Things strated well for the Griffons winning two out of three double matches. The duo of Lindsay Beger and Denise Chiao won 8-4 against Agostina Moran and Bernardita Muscillo at No. 2 doubles while Alyssa Dougan and Kayla Dysart defeated Kelsey Keer and Katelin Threet 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.

In singles competition the Griffons got just one win as Alyssa Dougan won 7-5, 7-5 at No. 6 singles over Kelsey Keer. Ceara Boldridge fell in a heartbreaker at No. 4 singles against Threet by scores of 6-2, 3-6 and 7-5.

The Griffons return to action tomorrow when they take on the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla. at 11 am.
