KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Western women's tennis team opens up the MIAA Championship Tournament this afternoon in Kansas City, Mo. at the Plaza Tennis Center. The Griffons will be the 7th seed playing the2nd seeded Washburn Lady Blues at 3:00 pm in the first round.

If the Griffons win they will play at 1:00 pm tomorrow and if they lose they will play at 9:00 am. They will be matched up against either Northwest Missouri State or Truman State depending on the outcome. More information will be made available as the tournament goes on.

Western finished the regular season 3-10 overall and 1-6 in MIAA play.
