Howard had an outstanding first weekend in a Griffons uniform as she averaged a double-double dumping in 14.5 points and snaring 10.5 rebounds per game...She helped the Griffons start a season 2-0 for the first time since the 2004-2005 season...she also helped the Griffons defeat a Division I team for the first time since November 21, 1997 when they defeated IUPU-Indianpolis, 70-49 and defeat their first top-25 team since January 26, 2011 when MWSU defeated 14th ranked Emporia State 78-71 in the MWSU Fieldhouse...Against UMKC Howard sparked the Griffons as they got down 8-0 and then she hit two baskets cutting the lead to 8-5...from there the Griffons cruised to the 17 point victory as she has 14 points and eight rebounds with two blocks...against the 7th ranked Roadrunners of Metro State the Griffons led for 35 minutes which included extending its lead to as many as 17 in the second half...Howard finished with 15 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks in the Griffons 66-55 upset over Metro State...the 6-3 forward also made five 3-pointers in the two games.
