Degner had an outstanding week helping the Griffons to a four game sweep over the Fort Hays State Tigers which helped them secure an home series in the first round of the MIAA Tournament. Degner went 7-for-12 with four runs scored, one triple, one home run and seven RBI. He had a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .625 on base percentage. He also went 3-for-3 in stolen bases and had five putouts in center field. He had a hit in all four games including going 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored in the Griffons 12-3 victory in game one. He also had the walk off single in game three giving the Griffons the 1-0 victory.
