Emily Hanenberg

Emily Hanenberg officially became a Griffon in June 2025. She will serve as a sports performance coach, primarily covering soccer and women’s basketball. 
 
Before joining Missouri Western, Hanenberg served as an assistant sports performance coach at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, and spent two years as a graduate assistant coach at Dallas Baptist University.
 
Hanenberg is a former volleyball player and private coach who started her career as a sports performance intern at Pittsburg State University. She played as a middle blocker for the Gorillas throughout her four years in college, earning multiple MIAA Academic Honors. Additionally, she spearheaded the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
 
Hanenberg earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Clinical/Strength and Conditioning in May 2022. She then completed her master’s degree in Kinesiology at Dallas Baptist University in May 2024.
