Dr. Zach Fears

Zach Fears comes to St. Joseph via Denton, Texas.  Fears was previously the assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of North Texas from June of 2022 to this March. At North Texas, Fears was in charge of assisting with all aspects of football strength and conditioning. He was also the head strength and conditioning coach for softball, women's soccer and track and field.

Fears is no stranger to working with MIAA student-athletes, operating in sports performance postilions at Lincoln and Missouri Southern. After receiving his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Central College Pella in 2010 and his master's degree in education leadership from Winona State in 2013, Fears' first postgraduate position came as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Division I Abilene Christian. Throughout his professional career, Fears has worked at two NCAA Division schools and now four DII universities including MWSU, building up an extensive resume over the last decade.

A part of many organizations now ten years into his full-time field, Fears holds 10 certifications with six different affiliations. Now, he is in the thesis stage of obtaining a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership from Liberty University, soon to be known as Dr. Fears in due time.
