Ashley Haflett

Ashley Haflett became the first-ever full-time assistant soccer coach at Missouri Western in 2018. Haflett previously coached at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, and played at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She also has experience working with youth boys and girls teams through Dakota Alliance Soccer Club and Brandon Valley High School.
 
In 2017, Haflett helped guide the University of Mary to a 12-5-2 overall record and a 9-4-2 in the NSIC. The team earned the No. 5 seed in the NSIC Conference Tournament and made it to the semi-finals. Mary tallied six shutouts and a 1.63 goals scored per game average. Several Marauders earned All-NSIC Team honors, and eight earned NSIC All-Academic honors. Two players were also selected to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Women’s All-Central Region team.

Haflett worked directly with the goalkeepers and helped improve the goals allowed average from 2.53 to 1.16 and the total goals allowed dropped from 43 to 22. The number of shutouts also increased from three in the 2016 season to six in the 2017 season. Haflett is currently working on completing her master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Mary.

A native of Brandon, South Dakota, Haflett (previously Ashley Limmer) was the starting goalkeeper at Augustana University  from 2012 to 2014, earning All-NSIC second team honors in her final year and setting season and career records for the Vikings in wins. As a senior, she helped Augie reach the NCAA regional tournament and finished the season with a record of 14-6, a .814 save percentage and a goals against average of 1.02 while posting six shutouts.
 
Haflett, a 2015 graduate from Augustana with a degree in Biology, opened her soccer coaching career while still in college. She served as an assistant boys and girls coach from 2013-15 at her former high school, Brandon Valley. In 2015 she started coaching youth soccer in Sioux Falls where she was the Dakota Alliance U15 girls team assistant coach from 2015-2016 and the U11 girls team head coach from 2016-2017.

Ashley and her husband Bryce were married in December 2017.
