Jana Shawver was named MoWest’s Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach on September 3.
Shawver competed collegiately at the University of Central Missouri from 2021–2023, where she earned Division II All-American honors in both the 800-meter run and the 4x400-meter relay. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology before moving into coaching.
From 2023–2025, Shawver served as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Angelo State University while completing her master's degree in coaching and sport administration. During her time at ASU, she coached the 2025 Division II national runner-up in the men's 800 meters and guided the 2024 Division II national champion in the women's 400-meter hurdles.
