Charlie Rizzio is in his second season as the linebackers coach of the Griffons.
Rizzio's 2021 season was highlighted by the outstanding success of his linebacker Evan Chohon. A Harlon Trophy nomenee and Grffon Male Student Athlete of the Year, Chohon feel directly under Coach Rizzio's leadershipÂ
Prior to Missouri Western, Rizzio worked at the University of Nevada as a Defensive Analyst and worked specifically with the inside linebackers. In this role Charlie worked to develop scouting reports for the defensive staff and collaborated on game plans for each week.
Rizzio also brings experience from working within coaching administrations at Yale, Southern Illinois University, Eastern New Mexico, Southern Connecticut State, West Texas A&M and Oxford High School in his home state of Connecticut.
Charlie received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Assumption College in 2006.
