Biography

Outlook: Right handed pitcher who will fight for a starting spot this season...will also give the Griffons a solid arm out of the bull pen.

2011 season: Honorable Mention All-MIAA selection. Was named MIAA Pitcher of the Week March 8. Led the team in wins with a 7-3 record. Was second on the team with 66.2 innings and 55 k's. Had four complete games in 10 starts. Made six relief appearances.

2010 season: Made three appearances with one start....pitched 6.1 innings giving up 12 hits and nine earned runs...had four strikeouts.

Skyline College: During his freshman season he was 4-1 with five starts...he was 1-1 his sophomore year...was used as more of a relief pitcher during his sophomore campaign.

High School: He finished his senior season with an 9-8 overall record...had 85 strikeouts in 84 innings of work...First Team Pal Bay Division...First Team San Meteo County...9-4 record with 84 strikeouts in 84 innigns.

Personal: Son of Linda Jurado-Umbertus and David Umbertus … majoring in sports management…person he would most like to have dinner with is Tim Lincecuum…favorite food is pizza…favorite candy is Skittles...dream vacation would be to Spain… favorite professional sports team are the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers…favorite collegiate sports team is the California Bears…favorite movie is Bull Durham…his grandparents have the most influence on his life…enjoys spending free time watching the Bay Area teams win…dream job is a sports agent.
