2014 season: Finished the season with a 13-8 overall record...had a 3.68 ERA in 25 games...started 19 games with 15 complete games...also pitched two shutouts...pitched 137 games giving up 158 hits and 72 earned runs with 64 strikeouts...also had 43 at bats with eight hits and two home runs...best outing of the year came on February 7 at Ouachita Baptist when she went eight innings giving up eight hits and striking out six in a 1-0 victory...honorable mention All-MIAA...MIAA,Academic Honor Roll (3.0 cumulative GPA).

2013 season: Had a 17-6 record and made 26 appearance with 20 starts...pitched 10 complete games...pitched 138 innings...walked 48 batters and had a 3.04 ERA...batted .233 on 30 at bats...had seven hits with two RBI...MIAA,Academic Honor Roll (3.0 cumulative GPA).

High School: Is a five year letter winner and has been named All-Conference, All-State and to the All-State Tournament Team in her high school career...helped her team to the Iowa Class 4A State Championship in 2011 starting 44 games...during the 2011 season she had an ERA of 1.19 in 106 innings...allowed 18 runs with 88 strikeouts and 15 walks...at the plate she hit .297...is also a good student earning numerous National Fast pitch Academic Awards and earning three academic letters.

Personal: Daughter of Neal and Jenifer Smith...her favorite candy is resse's...favorite food is popcorn...best sports moment is winning the state championship...her dad has the most influence in her life...a random fact about Janie is that she hates it when people touch the scar on her right knee...majoring in health & exercise science.
