JOPLIN, Mo. – Griffon Women's Golf wrapped up the MSSU Women's Fall Invitational on Tuesday at Twin Hills Country Club, finishing fifth out of nine teams with a 36-hole score of 629 (+53). MoWest improved by 11 strokes in the final round, following an opening-round 320 (+32) with a 309 (+21).

Raleigh Puzio led the Griffon lineup with a 1-under 71 in Round Two, improving 11 strokes from her opening-round 82. Puzio carded birdies on Nos. 3 and 13 and climbed 26 spots to finish tied for eighth at 9-over 153.

Makenna Casey finished at 14-over 158 after posting matching rounds of 79. Casey recorded a birdie on No. 11 during her final round. Avery Wells finished one stroke behind Casey at 15-over 159 following rounds of 78 and 81, recording a birdie on No. 9 in Round Two.

Cydney Beckmann made a 10-stroke improvement in the final round, following an opening-round 88 with a 6-over 78. Abby Owens finished alongside Beckmann at 22-over 166 after rounds of 81 and 85.

Competing as an individual, Emma Spurlin tied Puzio for eighth at 9-over 153 after rounds of 78 and 75. Spurlin highlighted her final round with an eagle on the par-5 seventh.
