DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – No. 16 Griffon Volleyball closed out the Bahama House Classic with a perfect 4-0 record after picking up victories over Florida Southern and Florida Tech on Saturday inside the ICI Center.

Match One: MoWest 3, Florida Southern 0
MoWest opened Saturday with a straight-set victory over Florida Southern, winning by set scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-15.
Russell reached a career milestone during the victory, recording her 1,000th career kill. The senior finished the match with seven kills on 20 attacks, becoming the newest member of the 1,000-kill club.
Tanith Roush led the Griffon attack with nine kills, while Russell and Mackenzie Peters each added seven. Peters hit .778 with seven kills on nine attacks and no errors, while Brooklynn Gormley added six kills and hit .545.
MoWest finished with 41 kills and hit .261 as a team.
Gormley led the Griffons at the net with four blocks, while Peters and Anna Strohmeier each recorded three. The Griffons totaled 14 block assists in the victory.
Hayley Barsky and Katelyn Diani-O'Day shared the setting duties with 15 assists apiece. Barsky also recorded two service aces as MoWest finished with seven aces as a team.
Defensively, Weberg led the way with 14 digs, followed by
Summer Anderson with 11 and
Holly Heldt with eight.
Match Two: MoWest 3, Florida Tech 1
The Griffons closed the Bahama House Classic with a four-set victory over Florida Tech, winning by set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 20-25 and 25-17.
Roush led the Griffon attack with 25 kills on 38 attacks while hitting .605. Heldt added 16 kills and 11 digs, while Russell reached double figures with 10 kills.
MoWest finished with 66 kills and hit .266 as a team in the four-set victory.
Diani-O'Day led the Griffons with 31 assists while adding 13 digs. Barsky recorded 12 assists, while Emma Duff added nine.
Weberg led the Griffon defense with 20 digs in the match and moved into second place in program history with 1,792 career digs. Weberg passed current assistant coach Kayla Ruff, who recorded 1,768 digs from 2015-17. Weberg now sits just three digs away from surpassing the program record of 1,794 career digs, set by Sarah Faubel from 2002-05.
Anderson added 14 digs and a team-high three service aces, while Diani-O'Day finished with 13 digs.
Peters led the Griffons at the net with five blocks, while Roush added three and Russell recorded two.

MoWest opens the tournament against Southwest Minnesota State on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. The Griffons continue play Friday, Sept. 4 against Northern State at 2 p.m. and Oklahoma Christian at 7 p.m., before closing the tournament Saturday, Sept. 5 against Rockhurst at 6:30 p.m.
