ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Baseball saw 24 returning & incoming players play in eight different summer collegiate baseball leagues in 12 different states in 2026.
"I'm extremely proud of our coaching staff and support staff for the effort they put into this process," head coach
Michael Keeran said. "I'm excited to get to coach these guys and continue to build relationships with them while they're in the Black and Gold. I'm looking forward to school starting so we can get going and build on last year's success."
Griffon Baseball is coming off of a successful 28-24 campaign in 2026, marking the program's first winning season since 2018, its most overall wins since 2018, its first postseason berth since 2019 and the most wins by a first-year head coach in program history.
These returning and incoming Griffons played on 16 different teams in all this past summer. Below is a look at where each Griffon played and how they fared this past summer:
MINK League
Seth Winkler (INF) - St. Joseph Mustangs (St. Joseph, MO)
- batted .291 and stole eight bases.
Brayden Hindes (RHP) - St. Joseph Mustangs (St. Joseph, MO)
- struck out 11 batters in 8.2 innings. Recorded a win and a save.
Michael Lujan (RHP) - St. Joseph Mustangs (St. Joseph, MO)
- struck out 22 batters in 13 innings.
Ban Johnson League
Brayden Hindes (RHP) – Regal Plastics (Parkville, MO)
- was an All-Star Game Participant. Tossed 19 innings, recording four wins and 26 strikeouts. Had a league best 0.58 WHIP to go with a 0.37 ERA.
New England Collegiate Baseball League
Nelphie Lopez (INF) - North Adams SteepleCats (North Adams, MA)
- batted a team-best .301, hitting two home runs and five doubles.
Northwoods League
Isaac Huettl (C) - Minot Hot Tots (Minot, ND)
- batted .233 with four doubles. Also drew 21 walks.
Austyn Peak (UTL) - Minot Hot Tots (Minot, ND)
- batted .364 in 16 games, hitting two doubles and two triples. Also stole 14 bases.
Danny Harris (RHP) - Richmond Flying Mummies (Richmond, IN)
- recorded four wins and a save in 10 appearances. Struck out 28 batters.
Eric Harper (UTL) - Richmond Flying Mummies (Richmond, IN)
- recorded five doubles, a triple and a home run. Drove in 14 runs and walked 25 times. Also stole 22 bases.
Owen Myers (LHP) - Rochester Honkers (Rochester, MN)
- six starts and two wins in 35.1 IP. Struck out 24 batters.
Cam Saleh (RHP) - Waterloo Bucks (Waterloo, IA)
- appeared in three games, striking out five in seven innings.
Evan Peterson (RHP) - Waterloo Bucks (Waterloo, IA)
- 2-1 record in nine appearances. 16 strikeouts in 15.1 IP.
Prospect League
Isaac Sobieszczyk (INF) - Clinton Lumberkings (Clinton, IA)
- batted .276 with a team-best 14 doubles. Tallied four home runs and walked 32 times.
Kale Jensen (UTL) - Clinton Lumberkings (Clinton, IA)
- batted .333 with seven doubles, two triples and three home runs.
Brady Grabowski (OF) - Decatur Bean Ballers (Decatur, IL)
- batted .250, recording a double and a home run.
Tristen Wargo (INF) - Alton River Dragons (Alton, IL)
- batted .414 in eight games. Two doubles and seven RBI. Also stole three bases.
Carson Shear (C) - O'Fallon Hoots (O'Fallon, MO)
- batted .206 with seven doubles and a triple. Drew 29 walks. Caught 12 runners stealing as catcher.
Zach Taylor (RHP) - O'Fallon Hoots (O'Fallon, MO)
- 1-0 record with a 5.70 ERA in 23.2 IP. Struck out 22 batters. Had a complete game and a save.
Noah Turner (RHP) - O'Fallon Hoots (O'Fallon, MO)
- 5.40 ERA in seven appearances. Struck out 8 in 6.2 IP.
Brady Jackson (RHP) - Thrillville Thrillbillies (Marion, IL)
- pitched 10.2 innings in six appearances. Recorded eight strikeouts.
Jacob Ross (RHP) - Thrillville Thrillbillies (Marion, IL)
- 5.34 ERA. Eight appearances and two starts. 16 strikeouts in 30.1 IP.
Texas Collegiate League
David De Hoyos (INF) - San Antonio River Monsters (San Antonio, TX)
- batted .247 with five doubles and two home runs.
Coastal Plains League
Jace Kirby (LHP) - Peninsula Pilots (Hampton, VA)
- started three games, striking out 14 in 15.1 IP.
Mid-America League
Bodee Mausser (OF) - Fort Scott Dragoons (Fort Scott, KS)
- played in eight games, recording a double, triple and home run.
West Coast League
