INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Griffon Lacrosse fell 23-6 to top-seeded Indianapolis Greyhounds Friday afternoon in the opening round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament.
The Greyhounds seized control early, jumping out to a 9-3 lead after the first quarter and extending the advantage to 16-3 by halftime. Indianapolis maintained possession throughout the contest, outshooting MoWest 40-16 and holding a 21-9 edge in draw controls.
MoWest received goals from Caetryn Gilreath, Madi Brinkman, Maddie Chidester, and Olivia Fornelli. Gilreath led the way with a hat trick, accounting for three of the Griffons' six goals.
In goal, Ava Garaway recorded eight saves in 30 minutes of action. Addie DeMars added one save over 28 minutes, while Anna Raumschuh saw brief time in net.
The loss closes the 2026 season for the Griffons, who finish 8-8 overall and 4-3 in GLVC play. MoWest reached the GLVC Tournament for the fourth consecutive season.
