INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), in partnership with Athletic Solutions, announced its Week Eight Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Griffon Lacrosse junior goalkeeper Ava Garaway was named GLVC Defensive Player of the Week, earning the honor for the second time this season.
The award marks the third of her career, after first earning the recognition on March 3, 2025 during her sophomore season, and again in Week 2 on February 23, 2026.
Garaway turned in a standout performance in MoWest's GLVC opener, leading the defensive effort in an 11-5 win over Quincy. She played all 60 minutes in goal, recording 13 saves on 31 shots faced while limiting Quincy to just five goals. Garaway finished with a .722 save percentage and a 5.00 goals-against average, securing the win and setting the tone for conference play.

Griffon Lacrosse continues GLVC action Friday, April 10 against William Jewell at 5 p.m., followed by a Sunday, April 12 matchup with Rockhurst at 1 p.m. Both contests are set for Spratt Stadium.
