INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Griffon Men's Basketball (20-10, 12-7 MIAA) was listed among 10 teams in the third NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Central Regional Rankings released Wednesday, March 4 by the NCAA, coming in at No. 5.
The Central Region is made up of institutions from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NSIC), and the Great American Conference (GAC).
The Griffons are one of five MIAA men's basketball programs to appear in the rankings along with Washburn (No. 1), Central Missouri (No. 3), Rogers State (No. 7), and Arkansas-Fort Smith (No. 8).
Following the completion of conference postseason tournaments, the top eight teams in the final Central Regional Rankings released during the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament Selection Show at 10:00 p.m. CT on NCAA.com on Sunday, March 8 will earn a berth in the 64-team NCAA Division II National Tournament.
