LEXINGTON, Ky. – The MoWest volleyball team remained ranked No. 10 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)/Taraflex Division II Women's Volleyball Coaches Poll, released Monday, Nov. 2.

The Griffons earned 726 points in this week's poll after posting a perfect 2-0 record over the weekend, improving to 21-3 overall and 9-1 in MIAA play. MoWest has now been ranked inside the national top 10 for the second consecutive week and has appeared in the top 25 in every poll this season.

MoWest extended its winning streak to five consecutive matches with a pair of straight-set victories inside the Looney Complex. The Griffons opened the weekend with a 3-0 victory (25-21, 25-11, 25-22) over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Friday before closing out the 2026 home schedule with a 3-0 win (25-10, 25-14, 25-23) over Northeastern State on Saturday.

The Griffons are one of five MIAA programs represented in this week's national top 25. Nebraska-Kearney leads the conference at No. 6, followed by MoWest at No. 10, Emporia State at No. 12, Washburn at No. 16 and Central Oklahoma at No. 24.

Ferris State maintained the nation's top spot with 46 first-place votes and 1,174 points, followed by Tampa at No. 2, Fresno Pacific at No. 3, Wayne State (Neb.) at No. 4 and Angelo State at No. 5.

What's Next

The No. 10 Griffons return to the road this week for a pair of MIAA matchups, highlighted by a nationally ranked showdown against No. 12 Emporia State. MoWest enters the final stretch of the regular season looking to build on its five-match winning streak and strengthen its position in the MIAA standings and NCAA Central Region rankings.
