KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its academic award winners from the 2025 football season, as 36 Griffon Football student-athletes earned Academic Honor Roll recognition. That group included two MIAA Scholar-Athletes and nine recipients of the MIAA Academic Excellence Award.

TreVon Holmes was one of nine MIAA football student-athletes to earn all three of the league's postseason academic awards, posting a perfect 4.00 GPA while also earning All-MIAA Second Team Defense honors at defensive back.
To be recognized on the league's Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a grade point average of 3.00 or higher, as used by the institution for NCAA academic certification, and have completed at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
An MIAA Scholar-Athlete is a student-athlete who has earned a grade point average of 3.50 or higher, as used for NCAA academic certification, with at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution. The student-athlete must also have received All-MIAA honors during the 2025 season.
An Academic Excellence Award recipient must have earned a grade point average of at least 4.00, as used for NCAA academic certification, and have at least two terms of grades reported at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
