LEXINGTON, Ky. – Griffon Volleyball junior Taylor Russell earned AVCA All-American honorable mention recognition on Wednesday, becoming a two-time selection after also receiving the honor last season.

The right side hitter from Topeka, Kan., delivered one of the most productive seasons in the MIAA, finishing the year with 315 kills across 108 sets while hitting .269 on 787 total swings. She added 58 digs and was a steady presence at the net, recording 66 total blocks with seven solos and 59 block assists. Russell closed the campaign with 351.5 points, averaging 3.25 points per set and 2.92 kills per set, reinforcing her role as one of MoWest's most reliable scoring options throughout her junior season.

Russell's 2025 campaign included AVCA All-American honorable mention status, a place on the AVCA All-Central Region First Team, and All-MIAA First Team recognition. She also claimed MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week honors in week two of the season.
