A Quick Recap
The Griffons went 2-0 this past weekend at home in the Hillyard Tipoff Classic, scoring wins over Augustana and Wayne State College for a pair of Central Region victories.

MoWest scored a season-best 88 points and shot a season-best 50.7% from the field in the victory over Wayne, knocking down a season-best 13 three-pointers in that win as well.

Noah King continues to show the way in scoring with a team-best 14.5 ppg. William Kiburis is the lead rebounder with 8.5 boards per game so far. Gavin Hershberger leads the way with 2.75 assists per game and a 7-of-16 clip (43.8%) from three.

Opponents at a Glance
Southern Nazarene began the season ranked No. 20, and they're off to a strong start, scoring two wins at home this past weekend in the GAC/NSIC Challenge against Jamestown (71-67) and Northern State (72-66).

The Crimson Storm were strong last season, going 22-7 and claiming a GAC regular season title, before falling to Harding, 75-74, in the GAC Tournament Championship game, and thereby falling just short of the NCAA tournament.

SNU, the preseason favorite to win the GAC again this year, is a senior-heavy squad with seven seniors in all and just three underclassmen on roster. The Storm return three starters from last year's team. Six players who played in at least 18 games last season are on the team this year.

B.J. Foster is in his third year as the head coach of SNU, where he's compiled a 40-21 record thus far. Wednesday marks just the second ever meeting with Southern Nazarene in men's basketball. The Griffons are 0-1, falling at home to SNU on Nov. 1, 2019, 96-74.

Quincy split a pair of games at home this past weekend in the GMAC/GLVC Crossover, beating Cedarville 89-80 before falling to No. 23 Findlay in tight fashion, 75-74.

The Hawks look to bounce back after a 10-18 mark in 2024-25. Picked 13th in the GLVC Preseason Poll, Quincy overhauled their roster somewhat with four returners back, three of whom being starters, but four transfers and five freshmen have been added.

Head coach Brad Hoyt is in his second season as the head coach at Quincy. Saturday will be the seventh all-time meeting with Quincy and the first since 2018. The series is split 3-3, but MoWest has won two of the last three contests dating back to 2010. When at Upper Iowa, MoWest head coach Brooks McKowen went 7-1 vs. Quincy, as the Hawks and Peacocks are in their third season of being GLVC rivals.
