It's the fourth time this season the Griffons have defeated a top-11 opponent.

After a tight start to the opening set, UCO held a slim 10–8 lead over MWSU and pulled away from there to take the set 25–14.

In set two, the Griffons came out hot, jumping ahead 5-1 before UCO rallied to even things up at 5-5. The set turned into a battle of runs, as MWSU surged back in front 9-5 before the Bronchos knotted it again at 10-10. The Griffons then strung together seven straight points to take a commanding 17-10 lead. UCO made a late push, but MoWest held strong to close out the set, 25-22.

Set three was tight throughout, with neither team pulling ahead early as the score sat even at 12-12. Central Oklahoma appeared poised to take control with a 21-17 lead, but the Griffons stormed back with six straight points to go up 23-21. MWSU held firm down the stretch, finishing off the set 25-23 to seize a 2-1 lead in the match.

In the fourth set, after trailing 1-0, the Griffons took control and never looked back, dominating the frame 25-15 to secure the four-set victory and take down the nation's No. 4 team.
