Pruitt seven-point night fuels Griffon Lacrosse in Rockhurst Rout

ST. JOSEPH, MO. – The 2024 version of Missouri Western Lacrosse will long remember Friday, April 19.

Head coach Jessica Berg's squad jumped out to an 11-3 halftime lead and didn't look back en route to a 19-9 Great Lakes Valley Conference win over Rockhurst University, the first win over Rockhurst in the program's brief history.

The path to a 9-6 overall and 3-3 league record was paved through the lightning-quick stick of junior midfielder Sam Pruitt. The Ellisville, Mo., native added to the myriad of her school records posting five goals, dishing out two assists and posting seven points to spotlight the historic evening. Red-shirt freshman attacker Jordan Porter (Montrose, N.Y.) (three goals, two assists, five points); sophomore midfielder Serah Ryals (Monument, Colo.) (three goals, two assists, five points); and freshman midfielder Clare Sondrall (Golden Valley, Minn.) (three goals, one assist, four points) added to the joyous headlines.

MWSU wraps up its 2024 regular season Sunday, April 21, at 12 p.m. versus William Jewell College.
