WARRENSBURG, MO. – Sophomore third baseman Jackson Bryant (Aurora, Colo.) clouted a pair of home runs over the first four frames Tuesday, March 26, leading Missouri Western University to a 4-1 lead over American Baseball Coaches Association Division II second-ranked University of Central Missouri.
 
Unfortunately, for the Griffons, the Mules used a steady comeback, plating 10 scores over the fourth through sixth frames to capture an early-week 12-5 Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association victory on their Crane Stadium turf. Bryant's three-hit, two-home run, two-runs-scored, three-RBI afternoon highlighted one of two multiple-hit days for head coach Damian Stambersky's side. Junior shortstop Blake Anderson (Overland Park, Kan.) turned in three safeties in four at-bats.
 
MWSU (14-15, 6-11 MIAA) stays on the road for a weekend league series at Fort Hays State University Thursday-Saturday, March 28-30.
