Griffons trounce Tigers in convincing fashion

The Griffons (11-4, 3-2 MIAA) came into the match ranked No. 38 in the country, and played like a team possessed after falling to No. 28 Washburn last time out. The Griffons dropped one total point in the doubles matches, and Nicolle Donnelly even recorded a perfect 6-0, 6-0 in her singles match.

Anya Chavez joined Donnelly in the No. 1 match against Irina Alfonso and Maria Paz Diaz, and the two Griffons came out on top, 6-1. Anais Peralta Criado and Isabella MacGibbon won the No. 2 match over Fiorella Mendez and Grace Unrah, 6-0, and Lucia Casas Blas and Ariella Curci beat Stefany Stemmer and Kylie Aufdengarten in the No. 3 doubles match, 6-0.

  • The Griffons now have six shutouts this season.
