ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Despite being tied for most of the game, Griffon Baseball fell to William Jewell 9-3 on Wednesday night at the Spring Sports Complex.
Trailing 2-0, Missouri Western made its first impact in the bottom of the fifth with a
Jayden Singleton single to left field, bringing in a run to cut the deficit in half. Travis Weise found his way home on a wild pitch in the sixth to tie the game. The Cardinals (19-8) took their lead back in the seventh inning at 4-3 after a Griffon error, as William Jewell tacked on four more insurance runs in the ninth.
