Box Score ROME, Ga. — Missouri Western Lacrosse took down Shorter 17-2 on Wednesday behind a double-hat trick from
Madison Brady to give the Griffons their first three-game winning streak of the season.
Brady's six goals led all scorers with six goals on 12 shots.
Caetryn Gilreath and
Karlin York both scored a hat trick of their own in the win, while
Sam Pruitt had two assists to lead the Griffons (5-3). Shorter (2-7) had goals from Alexis Mount Jadie Arnold in the loss.
The Griffons got out to a hot start, leading 6-0 at the end of the first quarter. A Brady goal pushed the score to 11-0 with just over five minutes left in the second quarter before Shorter got on the board. The only other Shorter goal came in the third quarter, as the Griffs led 15-2 going into the final period.
