KEARNEY, Neb. — Griffon Men's Basketball's losing streak has reached six games after Saturday afternoon's 85-75 loss to Nebraska Kearney inside the Health and Sports Center.
Missouri Western (8-12, 4-10 MIAA) jumped out to a 22-14 lead early on, but a 15-5 run from UNK (4-16, 2-12 MIAA) helped give the Lopers a 41-31 halftime lead. The Loper lead ballooned up to as much as 17 in the second half, and MWSU was only able to cut the deficit to just eight a handful of times. Timely buckets down the stretch iced the game, as UNK shot 60.7% from the field in the second half.
