Griffon Men fall to Fort Hays

FORT HAYS, Kan. — What started as a defensive stalemate between Griffon Men's Basketball and Fort Hays evolved into a game of catchup, as Missouri Western continues to fight the injury bug.

The Griffons (8-11, 4-9 MIAA) fell to the Tigers, 75-48, on Thursday night at Gross Memorial Coliseum. After both teams were deadlocked at 4-4 for the opening seven minutes, the Tigers went on a 13-2 run to take a double-digit lead that MWSU cut into slightly but couldn't overcome. Fort Hays (14-6, 9-5 MIAA) went into the break with a 32-19 lead and kept its lead at 10 or more throughout the second half, staying in the fast lane for the rest of the evening.
