ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Big innings combined with errors helped the Bearcats bring Griffon Baseball down 14-4 on Saturday, evening this weekend's series at the Spring Sports Complex.
Northwest Missouri State (13-21, 8-14 MIAA) kept the line moving throughout, jumping to a 8-0 lead by the fourth inning. Already up 3-0, a two-out error by
Ryan Neise opened the doors for the Bearcats to chalk up five more.
Jared Munk hit a sacrifice RBI in the fourth inning to bring across
Hunter Olson and get the Griffons on the board. During the bottom of the sixth,
Landon Klein sent one down the right-field line to bring home Munk and
Hunter Rumachik.
Chaz Verduzco later batted in another to give the Griffons (7-25, 4-18 MIAA) their last run of the game making it 11-4 in the sixth.
