ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Â The Missouri Western baseball team picked up its first series win of 2022 with a 7-2 victory over rival Northwest Missouri State on Sunday.
The Griffons used a five-run fifth inning to blow the game open, including a 3-run home run from second baseman

Zack Cushing picked up his second win in five days, throwing 5.1 innings of shutout ball, scattering six hits and striking out six Bearcats.
The Griffons (8-25, 5-18 MIAA) have won 3 of 4 for the first time this season. Â They return home on Tuesday to face #4 Central Missouri at the Spring Sports Complex. Â Â
