INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Griffon Lacrosse met their toughest test yet this Friday, falling 14-3 to the No. 2-ranked Hounds of the University of Indianapolis at Key Stadium.
UIndy (11-1, 2-0 GLVC) started their eventual sixth win in a row strong with four goals in the first and second quarter each. Missouri Western (6-6, 0-2 GLVC) was held to 14 shots overall and eight on goal.
Amani Robinson made the most of her four shots with two goals in the fourth quarter to lead the Griffons in scoring.
Morgan Nicholson scored MWSU's first goal of the game just four minutes into the first quarter to cut the contest to a 2-1 UIndy lead. However, the Hounds scored 12-straight goals to distance themselves from the Griffons and turn on the turbo clock. Goalkeeper
Mackenzie Porter found eight saves while Audrey Moran and Cassidy King of Indianapolis combined for five saves of their own.

After losing two in a row for the first time in nearly a month, Missouri Western takes a three-hour road trip to play Lewis University (2-6, 0-1 MIAA) on Sunday at noon in Romeoville, Illinois. The Flyers have fallen in their last five matchups, most recently losing to Rockhurst 13-6 on Friday. Lewis also lost 19-3 to UIndy last Saturday, April 2.
