ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Rogers State completes the three-game series sweep of Griffon Baseball with Monday's 12-5 final at the Griffon Spring Sports Complex.

Missouri Western's losing streak extends to five as they drop to 4-18 overall and 2-11 in the MIAA. The Hillcats improve to 14-11 and 9-4 in the conference. This is the second time MWSU has been swept by an MIAA opponent this season.

Notables 

• Pitcher Jordan Akins' three errors all occurred in the fourth inning.
• The Griffons cut into the 9-0 deficit thanks to two-run doubles by Bryson McArn and Alex Crouch in the sixth and seventh inning respectively. 
• Brady Holden and Chaz Verduzco also doubled.
• Both Verduzco Hunter Rumachik swiped a stolen base.
• This the Griffons' seventh game in a row with nine hits or more.

Missouri Western is back at it again on Tuesday at 5 p.m. against William Jewel (13-4) at the Griffon Spring Sports Complex. The Cardinals just recently took two-out-of-three against the University of Mary.
