FROSTBURG, Md. — Welcome back to the lineup,
Madison Brady. The usual hat trick will do.
Griffon Lacrosse's (4-4) spring break trip among the East Coast started with a tight, 11-10 win over Frostburg (0-5) in Monday's non-conference matchup at Bobcat Stadium. Both teams kept pace throughout the game, matching each other in goals each quarter. Knotted up at 10-10 with 43 seconds left in regulation, Brady broke the tie with a woman-up goal — her tenth score of the season.
This is Brady's first full game back since Grand Valley State on March 8. Her third hat trick of the season wasn't the only one on Monday, as
Morgan Nicholson also found the back of the net for a trifecta.
Mikaela Ness and
Tamrin Swann scored two goals of their own while
Sam Pruitt found one. This is Swann's first game back since March 5 against Colorado State-Pueblo.
