WARRENSBURG, Mo. — The Griffons were beaten by the No. 23 Jennies of Central Missouri on Tuesday by a score of 3-0.
The Griffons hung with the Jennies in the first set, keeping it within five points. They slowly faded, however, as the match went on, leading to the Griffons being swept for the match game in a row.
SET ONE
UCM 25, MWSU 21
Both teams went on runs throughout the set, and the score remained close throughout. The Griffons managed to tie up the score at 21 before falling behind and dropping the set, 25-21.
SET TWO
UCM 25, MWSU 18
The Griffons scored the first two points of the set, but a five-point run starting at the 4-4 mark of the set saw the Jennies take a lead and never look back. They would eventually won the set by a score of 25-18.
SET THREE
UCM 25, MWSU 15
Another five-point run by the Jennies was the downfall of the Griffons, with this run coming at the 6-7 mark of the set. The Jennies would win the set 25-15.
