ST. JOSEPH – Missouri Western Women's Basketball returns to MWSU Fieldhouse this week for two more MIAA matchups. The Griffons (15-5, 7-4 MIAA) will host Lincoln (3-17, 0-11 MIAA) on Wednesday then turnaround and host Central Missouri (17-3, 11-0 MIAA) on Saturday.
The Griffons are returning to St. Joseph after a one-point loss at Central Oklahoma and a win in Wichita against Newman. They hope to re-ignite the home win streak as they are currently 9-1 on Tom Smith Court.
PREVIEWING THE GRIFFONS
- Missouri Western ranks third in the MIAA in field goal percentage averaging 45% per contest.
- The Griffons also rank fourth in the conference in steals averaging 10.05 takeaways per game.

- Katrina Roenfeldt ranks in the top-10 of the MIAA in assists averaging 3.5 dimes per game.
- KT and Kylee Williams rank in the top-10 of the league in three-point field goals made per game. Roenfeldt averages 2.3 while Williams averages 2.1.
- KT ranks second in the conference in steals averaging 2.7 takeaways per contest.
SCOUTING LINCOLN
- The Blue Tigers lead the MIAA in offensive rebounding, averaging 15.8 on that end of the glass.
- LU also averages 8.95 steals per contest ranking them in the top-five of the conference.
- Kaloni Pryear is the leading scorer for the Blue Tigers averaging 16.3 points per game. This total ranks in the top-five of the MIAA.
- Pryear also averages 45% from the field ranking her in the top-10 of the league in that stat category.
- Vivian Chigbu ranks third in the conference in rebounding averaging 8.4 boards per game.
- Chigbu also averages 1.8 steals per game ranking her in the top-10 of the league in that stat category.
SCOUTING CENTRAL MISSOURI
- The Jennies rank second in the league in blocked shots averaging 4.25 rejections per game.
- UCM also ranks in the top-five of the conference in field goal percentage averaging 44% from the field.
- Megan Skaggs and Morgan Fleming rank in the top-10 of the league in scoring. Skaggs averages 16.5 and Fleming averages 15.2 per game.
- Nija Collier leads the MIAA in rebounding averaging 9.4 boards per game.
- Collier ranks second in the conference in blocked shots averaging 1.8 rejections per game.
- Morgan VanHyfte averages two steals per game for the Jennies. This ratio ranks her in the top-10 of the league in that stat category.
