ST. JOSEPH – Missouri Western Men's Basketball returns to St. Joseph this week for two more MIAA matchups. The Griffons (11-11, 7-4 MIAA) will host Lincoln (8-12, 5-6 MIAA) on Wednesday and then turnaround and host Central Missouri on Saturday.
 
For the first time this season, the Griffon men bring a four-game win streak to MWSU Fieldhouse. The Griffons also look to beat Lincoln at home for the first time in four years and extend their undefeated record at home.
 
PREVIEWING THE GRIFFONS
 

• Missouri Western averages 76.4 points per game. This ratio ranks the Griffons in the top-five of the MIAA in that stat category.
• The Griffons also lead the league in blocked shots averaging 4.14 rejections per game.
• MWSU also averages 9.3 made three-pointers per game. That ratio ranks the Griffons third best in the conference in that stat category.
• Tyrell Carroll averages 17.8 points per game ranking him fourth in the MIAA in scoring.
• TC also ranks second in the conference in assists averaging six per contest.
• Carroll also averages two steals per game ranking him second-best in the league.
• Will Eames ranks fifth in the MIAA in rebounding averaging 7.6 boards per game.
• Tyus Millhollin leads the MIAA in three-point field goals made per game averaging 3.1. Millhollin averages 38% from beyond the arc.
• Alex John ranks in the top-10 of the conference in blocked shots averaging 1.2 rejections per contest.

SCOUTING LINCOLN
 

• The Blue Tigers rank in the top-five of the MIAA in offensive rebounding averaging 10.4 boards on that end of the glass.
• LU also averages 6.85 steals per game ranking them sixth overall in the conference.
• Jonell Burton is the leading scorer for the Blue Tigers averaging 14.4.
• Burton also ranks in the top-10 of the conference in blocked shots averaging 1.1 rejections per contest.
• LT Taylor averages 8.3 rebounds per game ranking him third in the league in boards per game.
• Cam Potts averages 4.7 assists per game ranking himself fourth in the MIAA in that stat category.
• Potts also averages 1.7 steals per game. This ratio ranks him in the top-five of the MIAA.

 
SCOUTING CENTRAL MISSOURI
 

• The Mules rank second in the MIAA in steals averaging 7.8 takeaways per game.
• UCM also ranks third in the conference in scoring defense holding opponents to 66 points per contest.
• Gaven Pinkley is the leading scorer for the Mules averaging 13.8 points per game.
• Pinkley also averages 5.7 rebounds per game leading UCM in that category.
• Daniel Farris averages 3.5 assists per game ranking him in the top-10 of the league in that stat category.
• Kendale Hampton ranks in the top-10 of the conference in steals averaging 1.6 takeaways per contest.
