TOPEKA, Kan. – Griffon Volleyball (7-5) fell in four sets at No. 5 Washburn (11-1), Saturday afternoon. Missouri Western nearly forced its second consecutive five set match, dropping the fourth 25-23.
 
NOTABLES

• After Washburn controlled the first, 25-17, the Griffons jumped out to an early lead in the second and hung on 25-21 to even the match at a set apiece.
• Washburn dominated the third, hitting .295 and holding MWSU to a .125 hitting percentage
• MWSU led most of the first before a 7-1 Washburn run gave the Ichabods the lead they never relinquished.
• Sam Duncan hit .226 and had 11 kills.
• Allie Kerns also had 11 kills
• AlI Tauchen was limited to eight kills, but had eight blocks
• Lauren Murphy had 32 assists and a team-high 15 digs.
