ST. JOSEPH – Another postseason honor rolled in, Thursday, for Griffon Soccer's Mackenzie O'Neill as the junior was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® team.
 
O'Neill was one of two MIAA representatives on the team. Those named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® team immediately become eligible for Google Cloud Academic All-America® as presented by CoSIDA. The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the Classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average.
 
O'Neill was also named honorable mention All-MIAA, Thursday, after leading the Griffons with seven points on two goals and three assists. A Nursing major, O'Neill is active on Missouri Western's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and, last year, was selected for a three-year term as an MIAA representative on the NCAA Division II SAAC.
