ST. JOSEPH – Griffon Men's Basketball hosts their first game at the MWSU Fieldhouse on Sunday, as the Griffons (1-3, 0-0 MIAA) host non-conference opponent Missouri S&T.

The Griffons open home play after two straight weekends at the St. Joseph Civic Arena highlighted by the first win of the 2019 season against Minnesota State-Moorhead 70-55.

- The GLVC team will open their 2019 season against two MIAA schools hosting Lincoln University on Wednesday and travelling to St. Joseph to take on the Griffons. The Miners finished 5-21 in the 2018 season, with those of those wins coming from GLVC opponents.
- S&T also averaged 75 points per game with 43% field goal percentage last season.
- The Miners' top returning scorer is CJ Hedgepath. Hedgepath averaged 12.5 points per contest and averaged 41% from the field.
- The Miners' top returning rebounder is Mitch Fairless. Fairless totaled 95 rebounds and averaged four per game.
