ST. JOSEPH – Winning nine of their last 12 games, Griffon baseball (14-12, 7-6) plays four games in four days.

After nine straight wins and two conference series sweeps, the Griffons dropped their last three games to Pittsburg State. In the 12 game span, MWSU had five players bat over .300.
Dusty Stroup led the team during the stretch with a .368 average and drove in 10 runs.
Maurice Bruce and
Brooks Day combined to score 24 of Missouri Western's 66 runs in that span as well.

On the mound,
Nate Hunter was credited with five of the nine wins over a team-best 27 2/3 innings.
Kellan Richards made eight appearances with an ERA of 1.65 and two saves.

Missouri Western travels to Northwest Missouri on Wednesday to begin a midweek series. The Bearcats enter the match-up after a series sweep of Washburn. Both MWSU and NWMSU swept the Ichabods this season.

A day after playing its rival, Missouri Western opens a three-game series with Missouri Southern at the Spring Sports Complex. The Lions have dropped six of their last seven games and are scheduled to travel to Pittsburg State on Wednesday afternoon.
