ST. JOSEPH – Missouri Western Women's Basketball (3-4) will open MIAA conference play this week with two home games. The Griffons will face two opponents that have gone a combined 11-1 this season.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Since Rob Edmisson took over as head coach at Missouri Western, the Griffons are 4-2 in MIAA conference play openers and have won their last three.
- Missouri Western will be looking to avenge its three losses to Lindenwood last season.
- The Griffons enter conference play with hot three-point shooting. The Griffons have shot 44 percent from distance in their last two games.
- Rebounding has been a strength for the Griffons in recent games. They are outrebounding opponents by an average of 16 rebounds in their last three games.
- The Griffons have won six of their last seven games against Lincoln.

LINCOLN
- The Blue Tigers have already won more games in the month of November than they did all of last season. Lincoln went 4-23 in 2017-18 and has won six games so far this year.
- Lincoln leads the MIAA in opposing field goal percentage, holding opponents to just 31 percent shooting.
- Zoi Thompson is the top scorer in the MIAA so far this season with 18.5 points per game.
- Zhanesha Dickerson is nearly averaging a double-double. Dickerson is scoring 16.5 per game and also leads the conference with over nine rebounds per game.
