MARSHALL, Minn. - Missouri Western volleyball's first-ever NCAA Central Region semifinal appearance comes Friday against defending national champion Concordia-St. Paul.
The Griffons earned the program's first-ever NCAA Championships victory on Thursday, 3-1 over Nebraska Kearney. Concordia-St. Paul eliminated Central Oklahoma in three sets in Thursday's quarterfinals to set-up the Friday semifinal match with the Griffons.

Missouri Western has won 18 of its last 20 matches, going 5-2 against ranked opponents during that run. Concordia-St. Paul enters Friday's semifinal ranked No. 3 in the nation after spending five weeks this season as the No. 1 team in the country. The Golden Bears have won eight national championships in the last 10 years and are 62-6 all-time in NCAA Tournament play.
The winner will advance to the Central Region Championship final on Saturday against either (1) Southwest Minnesota State or (5) Minnesota Duluth. Saturday's regional championship is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
