ST. JOSEPH, Mo. –  Missouri Western Baseball will look to get back to its winning ways, traveling to Central Oklahoma for a three-game series starting on Friday at 2:00 p.m.

Previewing Missouri Western
The Griffons are now 21-11 this season and 13-8 in MIAA standings. The Griffons have now lost three straight games, dropping two against Lindenwood and a single and against Emporia State on Tuesday. Missouri Western currently sits fourth in the MIAA standings.

Offensively, Landon Mason continues his hot hitting, extending his hitting streak to 16 games and is now hitting .440. Jeremy Alvarado is hitting .402, recording a team-high 10 doubles and 10 home runs this year. First baseman Cosimo Cannella has a team-high 49 RBIs this season. David Glaude, Nick Gawley and three other players are hitting at least .300 this season.

Preston Bailey leads the Griffons with a 2.78 ERA on the mound. Evan Jones has a 4-1 record this year and Alex Clavet has a 3-1 record. They have combined for 30 strikeouts this season. Richard Peoples has a team-high 33 strikeouts in 45.2 innings of work.

Previewing Central Oklahoma
Central Oklahoma sports a 20-12 overall record and currently sits 12-9 in MIAA play. UCO is sixth in the MIAA standings. The Bronchos have lost three of their last four games. Last weekend, they were swept by Emporia State and they picked up a mid-week win against Missouri Southern.

 Four Bronchos are hitting over .300 for the season. Jon Kamies leads the team with a .381 batting average and 39 runs scored. He has also hit 12 home runs and tallied 44 RBIs. TJ Sparr leads the team with 10 stolen bases this year and has scored 27 runs.

Brock Stuber has a team-low 3.92 ERA in 39 innings of work. Daulton Leiker and Greg Hyder have a combined record of 6-1 this year for the Bronchose. Leiker has recorded 49 strike outs this year.
