Brenden Andersen

Brenden Andersen officially joined the Sports Performance team in a full-time role in 2024 after interning from 2021 to 2023. During his first year at MWSU, he worked with the soccer, track and field/cross country, tennis (MIAA Conference Champions) and football programs. Currently, he oversees baseball, football, soccer and volleyball.
 
Before being hired as a full-time employee, he was a member of the MWSU baseball team from Fall 2020 to Spring 2023. He played in 91 games, starting 87 of them. In two seasons, he slashed 317/.404/.495 with 103 hits, 64 runs and 59 RBIs. Prior to his time at Western, he played at the junior college level for Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Nebraska.
 
During a short stint in the upper Midwest from May to June 2023, he worked at the University of Minnesota, working with both men's and women's hockey teams, NHL players, and the Women's USA Hockey Team.
 
The native of Omaha, Nebraska, holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Personal and Commercial Fitness and a Master of Science in Sport and Fitness Management, both from Missouri Western. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and has earned RPR-2 certification
