Ashley Petak

Ashley Petak begins her first season as assistant volleyball coach in 2016. Petak came to Missouri Western from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she was an assistant volleyball coach for three seasons. 
 
Petak also served as the director of operations, recruiting coordinator and fundraising coordinator for the Augustana Volleyball team. In her three seasons at Augustana, the team went a combined 58-30 overall and 36-24 in the NSIC. Six Augustana players were named All-NSIC in her time there and two were named AVCA All-Americans.
 
A former MIAA student-athlete, Petak started four years as a setter at Truman State, winning the MIAA regular season and tournament championships in 2007 and advancing to the NCAA Division II Final Four in 2008. Petak is third in career assists at Truman State and ranks in the top-10 in several other categories.
 
After graduating in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, Petak served two years as a graduate assistant at Minnesota State-Mankato from 2011-2012, earning her master’s in sport and exercise psychology in 2013.
