Ace Ventura started his MWSU coaching career in 2022 as a graduate assisant, coaching running backs. He then helped coached quarterbacks in 2023.
Ventura has served as tight ends coach for MoWest since 2024.
During his first season in 2022, Ventura helped MWSU running backs Jared Scott and Jonas Bennett earn all-MIAA honorable mention accolades.
With all-MIAA quarterback Armani Edden at the controls, and MIAA Freshman of the Year running back Seth Cromwell in the backfield, Ventura helped MoWest to an 8-4 record in 2023, which included an appearance in the Farmers Bank and Trust Live United Bowl.
The 2023 team ranked third in the MIAA in scoring (37.4 ppg) and led the MIAA in rushing (200.2 ypg), while also adding 218.2 passing yards per game.
BEFORE MWSU
Ventura played college football at East Central University, playing from 2017-21. During the 2018 season, he made the ECU Falls Dean’s List and Spring President’s List. Ventura also earned a spot on the 2020 ECU Fall and Spring President’s Lists.
Before then, he played at Denton High School in Denton, Texas. Ventura Helped the Broncos to two bi-district championships and a district title as a senior. As a Bronco, Ventura was a first team all-district and earned all-area honors as a junior and senior.
